Layout : Together

Hi Friends,
Today I am sharing my new Layout.
This is for my Lil bro in remembrance with the lovely childhood spent together.
Time is running very fast and we get to stay far apart for studies, work and marriage... but the bonding between siblings remain unfaded.

This is 12"*12" in size. First I chose the base paper which is greyish yet vibrant with stars and glitter effects on it. On that I adhered a pink textured pattern paper, which I torn from the top and bottom, edges were distressed. Then I created some texture using the brick stencil and texture paste. Actually I previously wanted to do heat embossing on it with another stencil which I did also. But the embossed pattern got a bit messy so I decided to cover it up. The texture is lightly colored with distress ink. Then I created the photo mat by tearing some pattern papers and distressed the edges as well.
For embellishments, I hand-cut the flowers from Papericious paper pack, distressed the laces, Distressed the doily. I used the alphabet stamp set from mudra to stamp the word together and the & is also stamped and hand-cut.
Finally I added some die cuts and butterflies to complete it.

Supplies Used:

Papericious Perfect Affair Paper pack ( For BG and Flowers, Photomat)

Valentine Heart Wall Decor

Hi Friends,
Today I'm going to share another altered project.
This time I made it for a few challenges and with Valentine's Day round the corner it is a good chance to play with some Pinks and some Reds and create something with Love and Heart.

So let's take a look at the final picture...

Here I used a chipboard cake base which I cut in the shape of a heart and adhered some patterned paper and some corrugated sheet.

Before glueing the patterned paper I punched two holes and added a lacy ribbon to make it a hanging wall art.Created some texture using stencil and texture paste, added some art stones. Then I gave a light coat of clear gesso and let it dry. After that I colored the corrugated part with deep Pink acrylic color and the stones with pearl acrylic color black shade. Then I dry brushed copper metallic color and pink metallic color on the stones as well as on the texture.

I glued a lace on one side. Gave a coat of gesso on the chippies. Then I colored the resin and metal embellishments and chippies with copper metallic color and glued on the base. Finally I added some quilling flowers in Red and Pink to finish the look.

Love is In The Air...

Hello Friends,
I'm very happy to start the month with my DT project for Indian Quilling Challenge Blog.
This year we welcomed three new DT members, it'll be really exciting to work along such amazingly talented ladies.
Coming to this month's theme...
This is the Valentine month and Love is everywhere. So let's spread some Love and show us What Love is... for u.

Here's my take on the theme...
Love is in The Air...

This background was lying in my stash for a long time and it's well fitted to my theme this time. It is a thick advertisement sheet without any prints on it. So I thought to make a good use of it. As Love is the theme, I decided to make Love birds and a bird-house hanging from a flowering branch.
the branch is drawn and hand cut, The bird-house is also hand cut and I added the quilling strips as the outline as well as a heart shaped window. For the birds, I drew them on watercolor paper, hand cut them and used quilling strips for the rest designing. Two heart shapes were made similarly.
The flowers are made out of Pink and yellow 3 mm strips.

Some more pics...

I took closer pictures of the birds so that the outline and the quilling is visible...
Hope you liked my project.
